Friday Recap July 31st 2026
My Comment
The reason I am publishing so late is because I just got the final data on early voting.
There were no meetings to report on this past week. Early voting was on the main stage. We have 190,559 registered voters in the county and, I am told, that approximately 20,000 of them are labeled inactive. So, let's say that the real number of potential voters is actually 170,559. As of 1:00 pm Saturday, the countywide vote looked like this:
- Total votes: 30,316
- Republican votes: 20,263 for ~66.8&
- Democrat votes: 9,867 for ~32.5%
- General Election only votes: 186 for ~.6%
- If we use the 170,599 figure that means ~17.8% have voted so far. If you haven't voted, you have election day, which is Thursday August 6th to vote. For all election voting centers, go here, for a sample ballot, go here. Election day hours are 7:00am to 7:00pm.

As you can see from the chart above, District 10 and District 5 are the closest races. I have mentioned that the Democrats would like to flip Williamson County and are well organized and highly energized to do so. As I look at the people who have not voted so far, there are a lot of Republicans on that list. If you are one of them, we need you to vote for our fine Republican candidates on the 6th.
Not too long ago, Tennessee was a blue state. If we are not vigilant, the Democrats could flip one seat here in Williamson County, then another and another. We already have several instances of individuals who have historically voted Republican who are now supporting Democrats in Districts 8 and 10.
- Proverbs 6:10-11: "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man." Williamson County didn't become red by accident. It required hard work and diligence on the part of many concerned citizens. It will only stay that way if we continue work harder than the Democrats. Come out to vote and encourage you friends to do the same.
My watch party

The only meeting scheduled for the county is the Highway Commission which will meet at 8:30 am at 302 Beasley Dr. Franklin on Wednesday the 5th. I have no further information.
